2026 WVHS Spring Orchestra Concert (Video & Gallery)

Members of the Warwick Valley High School orchestra perform on stage during their spring concert.

The Warwick Valley High School Music Department presented its annual Spring Orchestra Concert on Tuesday, May 12. The Music for the Soul concert included performances by the high school’s award-winning Symphony and Chamber orchestras, both under the direction of WVHS music teacher Elissa Maynard.

The program opened with a Senior Feature performance by cellist Logan Conley, who played Allegro Passionato, accompanied by Nathan Link on the piano.

The WVHS Symphony Orchestra followed by performing Brandenburg Concert No. 5, Nightshift and Kingdom Dance. Kingdom Dance featured violin soloist Grace Stough and percussionist Jude Gawronski.

The next Senior Feature highlighted Victoria Martinez on the cello playing No Me Queda Mas, accompanied by Zachary Polsky on piano.

The Chamber Orchestra then performed Lion City, Water Lily (featuring a violin solo by Grace Cornelius, a piano solo by Zachary Polsky and violin II solos by Jane Cornelius and Isabella Costanza). The Chamber Orchestra concluded with La Casara (featuring a cello solo by Ashlyn Brown, violin solos by Grace Cornelius and Jane Cornelius, a viola solo by Juliet Pulido and Jude Gawronski on percussion.)

The final Senior Feature spotlighted pianist Andy Chen playing Etude Op.10 No. 4 Torrent.

The concert wrapped up with the Senior Farewell Piece Remember Me from "Coco".

Logan Conley has been playing the cello for 10 years with Mrs. Jeanne Fox.  In those 10 years he has made all levels of All-County and participated in NYSSMA. He has participated in Symphony Orchestra and is an active member of the Honors Chamber Orchestra. Logan plans to study Civil engineering at Manhattan University as well as run track next year. He is a Scholar Athlete as well as an active member of the Hudson Valley Ebony Strings.

Victoria Martinez is planning on majoring in environmental science with an emphasis on environmental administration and policy. She plans to attend law school after receiving her bachelors. Throughout high school she has taken rigorous classes while consistently receiving summa cum laude honor. She has played JV & Varsity volleyball and been captain on both. Victoria has been a violist since 4th grade and will continue to play for her university's orchestra. She has been in the Chamber Orchestra since freshman year and is currently section leader for the violas. Victoria wants to thank her teacher, Mrs. Maynard, for all the opportunities, advice, and support since 5th grade. She is proud and grateful to have had her as a mentor. She would also like to thank her family for always supporting her dreams and never letting her give up on herself.

Andy Chen is a violinist in the Chamber Orchestra. He has been a member of the Warwick Valley Central School District orchestra program ever since the 4th grade and has enjoyed every moment of it. Andy has completed grade 6 NYSSMA piano solo with a perfect score and has qualified for the piano showcase. In the fall, he plans to attend the University of Pittsburgh and plan to continue to keep music as an important part of his life. Andy would like to thank his family, friends, and teachers for their constant support over the years.
